Does it blow your mind there were French and German screamo bands as early as 1993?

Um, YES, and it has for years. Screamo is considered to have started in San Diego around 1991 (actually a little known fact is that there were actually some bands from New Jersey playing a sort of "proto-screamo" as early as 1990, but the San Diego scene is what got it started as a real thing), and I don't think any of them toured outside of the US besides possibly Canada. And even Canada didn't have any screamo bands until about 1994. So how did screamo get to France and Germany that fast before the modern Internet? Also before the UK at that, the first UK emo record wasn't released until 1994.
