How would the chairs of both governor party associations at the time do in an election against each other?

I personally believe Martinez would win with a map that looks similar to 2004. Both were unpopular in their states at the time of the election but Malloy was considerably more so. He does keep the race somewhat close but...

Both Malloy and Martinez were very unpopular at home in 2016, so I think both would lose their home states (though Martinez winning Connecticut would be an upset). Malloy would hold ME-2 and the Midwest, however, and that's enough to give him the election.
