https://scholarship.law.vanderbilt.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2145&context=faculty-publicationsA few years ago, scholars at Vanderbilt University published a study where they concluded that if 18-year term limits had been instituted for Supreme Court justices in the mid-1970s (shortly after Roe v. Wade was decided), the result would probably be three reversals on Roe within the last 50 years (overturning it in the late 1980s, reinstating it in the late 2000s, and then overturning it again in the late 2010s).
