Has anyone, or do you believe anyone has, created a new Atlas account when ideology has changed?

Wondering if there are any examples of, or suspicions of someone who has created a new Atlas / Talk Elections account when their ideology has changed. I'm blanking on who it was, I think from Florida, that went from right wing to left wing, and talked about how his ideology progressed. Just thinking maybe someone may have been more ashamed of their previous positions, buried them in the past and started fresh.

There are definitely some cases of posters creating sock accounts with opposite political identities, either to make the other side look bad, or else just for fun.  Jsojourner is a famous example, but then you've also got the case of British Dixie, who made a sock named FreedomFighter, who attacked him and called him a racist(!):

There were other cases that came up when I was a mod, where posters caught making sock accounts with alternate politics would try to explain it by saying things like "I wanted to see things from a different perspective."  But I'm not sure if I remember specific cases where a poster would come back with a new account after having what really seemed like a legit change in political orientation.

Not exactly the same thing, but I've been known to create multiple accounts and play multiple "characters" on other forums. It's a fascination for me. I struggle with empathy/theory of mind and such, so the best way for me to "put myself in the shoes of others" is to literally live as other people. If I could choose to make any afterlife reality, I would choose reincarnation, except a kind where I get to keep all my memories. I want to live a thousand lives, every type of person and life you can imagine, and study them all in detail.
