[Hmong American small business owner in MN] voted for Mr. Biden. He said that he supported the Black Lives Matter movement but that some in his community did not. Years of feeling invisible had frustrated and demoralized them.

The way he sees it, Asians still do not have enough of a voice, and he worries that the pressure of holding everything in for years is reaching dangerous levels. He said he worried that a populist Asian leader, “an Asian Trump,” could have a huge following by tapping into this frustration. “We’ve been holding it all in for so long, it will just take the right circumstances for us to blow,” he said.

Forumlurker is a communitarian populist, Bagel is a (recently departed) crass Blue Dog. Both are D-avatars and support the Dems IRL. Who would make the better “D Trump”, who would you vote for, and who would win? Discuss with maps.

Bagel is probably a better guess for Democratic Trump, I'd vote Forumlurker and he'd win

I'd support forumlurker. In reality, Bagel would start with a big lead in campaigning but it'd get very close after several big scandals (he fits the role of "Trump" way better)

I'd support Forumlurker and am confident he would win. Bagel would run away with the Oklahoma and West Virginia primaries and maybe win the Iowa caucus and a few other contests though.

I see someone voted Bagel/Bagel and dissented from the Atlas consensus. He definitely seems more Duterte-like than Forumlurker. Wonder how a Bagel victory would play out in the primaries and GE.

edit: another person would support Forumlurker, but thinks Bagel would win the matchup

Forumlurker would obviously win our votes and the election as would most other posters. 23 has a tendency to make strange comments and is really damn good at getting people to blab on about him, which is a major feather in his cap for sure I admit, but I don't see how he actually wins when there's competition in his lane.

It'd probably go just like the 2016 election.

Both would have big downsides, but I'd find the will to plug my nose for Forumlurker. Bagel still wins due to "authenticity" even though he'd undoubtedly have a scandal every hour.
