and no I'm not talking about CBD. It actually gets you high. It's a different high than marijuana, a bit watered down, (think like 80% of a marijuana high), but some people prefer it because it doesn't cause the paranoia or anxiety marijuana often does.
It's called Delta-8, and it's federally legal and legal in the vast majority of states. The 2018 bill that legalized hemp specifically said it's legal to grow hemp as long as it doesn't have a Delta-9 THC concentration of 0.3% or higher. Since Delta-8 THC is different and not prohibited by the bill, it's legal as long as state law doesn't prohibit tetracannabanoids, which most states didn't and just passed laws mirroring the federal law on hemp.
Here's the map. Green = legal, red = illegal.
(Yes it's illegal in some states were actual marijuana isn't. That might seem weird, but it's probably a quirk of how those states specifically legalized Delta-9 THC but didn't all other forms of derived tetracannabanoids.)
Only concern: It could still possibly result in a positive on a drug test, so be careful if that's likely to be something you have to take in the near future.
But you can find it at basically any head shop/CBD dispensary in a legal state, or order it here:
