A-. A little bumpy at the beginning, but he pulled through.

C+

He was going against a terrible candidate more than anything.

The fact he won doesn't mean he is a good candidate. C+

I think there are stronger candidates than Warnock in Georgia.

I think McBath, Abrams, Bottoms, or possibly Sally Yates were all stronger candidates.

This is nonsense. In 2017, Keisha Lance Bottoms defeated crypto-Republican Mary Norwood by less than one percentage point in the mayoral election. I don't think that candidate selection mattered nearly as much in this race as others seem to, but Keisha Lance Bottoms certainly would have done worse than Raphael Warnock did.

A.

He capitalized on the issues perfectly and he and Ossoff complimented each other in a way that they were like the Southern version of Obama/Biden 2008.

Oh, and to top it off?  Declaring yourself to be a pro-choice pastor in the BIBLE BELT and doubling down on it?!  Yet STILL winning?!  That takes BALLS.

A. Loeffler was not a good candidate, but Warnock did a good job at defining himself early and that can make a difference for any candidate. Plus he stayed being himself and didn't put on a rehearsed political persona.

An A tier candidate probably could have beaten Loeffler by double digits. She was that weak.
Warnock was C tier.

Look bud, I like you, but, no one was ever going to win any Senate election in Georgia by double digits. Not in 2020 anyway.

More religious leaders and fewer lawyers and businesspeople in government is always a good thing, especially when that includes leaders like Warnock. A.

I think B is fair. Didn't strike me as a particular effective debater, but I think he maneuvered through lot of very thorny issues (re: his controversial past remarks and stuff with his ex-wife) about as well as he could have.
