It seems like modern conservatives base their opposition to liberals/Democrats on the most extreme caricatures of what a liberal is. Like if you turn on Fox News, you'll see Jessie Waters and Tucker Carlson railing against some random professor from San Francisco who wrote a thesis that maybe 20 people read talking about how eating muffins means you have white privilege or something. And this is the kind of stuff that way more conservatives will hear about than your average liberal voter.

Most liberals want an inclusive society with robust social programs, but they aren't calling you a racist for eating muffins.

Yet conservatives will just run to the hills with this kind of crap and say "oH yOu ThInK i'M a RaCiSt???"

Same with the censorship stuff on social media, the people getting censored supported a literal coup against the US government, you guys are the ones who claimed to support law and order. Why are you surprised when we don't allow criminals a platform?

Seriously, conservatives are the biggest BABIES I have ever witnessed. These people literally go out of their way to be the victim. This stuff about "snowflakes" on the left is PROJECTION.

     Absolutely correct, and it is not an accident. When the easiest way to garner sympathy from people is to be a victim, it shouldn't surprise us in the least to see people around us develop a victim complex. Regardless of the circumstances, persuading them of the victim narrative makes your position justified in the minds of many people. It's one of the most powerful weapons anyone can employ in politics or in any other interpersonal sphere.
