bumping this instead of creating a new thread.

First of all, I congratulate all the winners in the Southern elections for well-done campaigns. I thank everyone who voted for doing their civic duty. I thank those who lost for participating in elected politics even if ultimate success was not a given. I give particular thanks to LouisvilleThunder and wish him the best as Governor.

I am glad to have been able to serve as Governor of this great region, and thank the region at large for both voting me in as Governor before and for returning me to the Chamber, where I can continue to do the people's work. It is an opportunity I am glad I had and I look forward to continuing to serve this region as Delegate and, if possible, Deputy Speaker. Under my governorship I appointed Koopa, Lee Harvey Updike, and Scutosaurus, all three of which were or proved themselves to be upstanding individuals, to the Chamber. I signed into law bills relating to small business, and parks and recreation. I signed into law tweaks to working hours for regional employees and boosting trade schools. Laws I signed instituted tax credits for families as well as for energy efficient windows and doors, among other things. These were by no means things I accomplished alone and in fact Tmth and other members of the Chamber of Delegates were most responsible for getting these measures through the legislature. I worked with them in order to get these into law and I will continue to work with them as delegate.

The governorship I have held is just one chapter of the region's history. I am confident that the best is yet to come, as the foundation I have left is built on by my successors.
In a few days I may no longer be the Mr. Governor as in the governor in present tense, but I  will continue to do the people's work, and I invite all others in the Southern government to do the same.
Best of luck to all, and may I attain the office of Deputy Speaker.
