here's an interesting figure I found. In 45 of the 67 counties, Trump in 2020 won the biggest raw vote margin of any republican ever.

As for the remaining 22 counties - here is the peak republican raw vote spread:

1972 (very much an urban north florida theme here)
Alachua 5291
Duval 75624
Escambia 41993
Gadsden 2166
Jefferson 1059
Leon 11924
Madison 2049

1980
Broward 83370

1984 (this is basically a list of the big light red-to-blue areas of central and southern florida)
Brevard 65492
Hillsborough 71696
Manatee 34904 (came close to being broken this year)
Miami-Dade 100551
Monroe 8558
Orange 73316
Osceola 11720
Palm Beach 70720
Pinellas 112038
St Lucie 15160
Sarasota 57246
Seminole 38449

2016 (R base counties where the bleeding has stopped)
Clay 47141
Okaloosa 48113

Interesting.  Biden did quite well in the western Panhandle and Jacksonville area while underwhelming everywhere else.

Of course the fact that the populations of the counties are so much greater than they were 30-40 years ago has a lot to do with this.
