Obama: B-

Hmm looking at this it seems like you generally don’t like either interventionism or unilateralism so why do you like Obama’s FP more than Clinton given that Obama FP was more interventionist and arguably less of a multilateralist as well

I admit my list is rather scattered. But I gave Obama credit for the Iran Deal, Cuba, and Paris Accord, and penalized him for Libya and his use of drone warfare.

I penalized Clinton for Rwanda, and for possibly messing with Russia's election, but I admit I may have been too harsh on him, at least compared to Obama.

What a joke that people are giving Trump high marks.  Trump's "foreign policy" was to antagonize and alienate NATO and other critical allies, legitimize Kim Jong Un, abandon the Kurds in Syria, and let Vladimir Putin do whatever he wanted with no pushback.  Capped off with a needless assassination that brought us to the brink of war with Iran.  He had no accomplishments, and the only reason he didn't have more notable failures is because he wasn't in office long enough for his actions to bear serious consequences.

His Middle East policy was pretty good and at the very least the best we have had since HW in that regard and his policies towards China was good too.

Trump FP overall massively improved when Mike Pompeo became Secretary of State as it was actually pretty good under Pompeo while it was pretty bad under Tillerson .

Similarly even with W his FP improved greatly when Robert Gates became Secretary of defense and saves him from an outright F grade

Me:  Gives several reasons why Trump foreign policy was bad.
You:  Nuh uh it was good

What specifically did you like about it?
Do you think abandoning the Kurds, alienating one of our few remaining allies in the middle east, was a good thing?
Did you enjoy the way he licked the dirt off Putin's boots after all Putin's aggressive military actions?
Do you agree with Trump that actually North Korea is pretty rad and we should be friends?
Do you also think our NATO allies are a bunch of whiners and losers and maybe we don't need them?

or are you going to give him credit for "defeating ISIS" with his "secret plan" that was actually to change absolutely nothing and let Obama's military strategy run to completion?  Followed of course by a stark betrayal of the allied force that did most of the on-the-ground work.
