New York Sports Teams: Who do you pull for/prefer?

Inspired by the Lakers vs Clippers poll.

I figured NYC would be an interesting one as it's one of only two cities (the other one being LA), to have at least two teams in each major sports league, so you have a choice of who you prefer there.

For this poll, I know that there's only one NHL team within NYC, but 3 in the Metropolitan area, so I included the two others.

In baseball I'm a Yankees fan (they're my favorite baseball team period). Easy vote for the Yankees being my favorites in NYC.

Then for football, I don't have any strong feelings either way, but I'd probably go for the Giants.

For the NHL, the Rangers easily.

Then for basketball, I don't really care, but I guess the Knicks.

And finally for the MLS, even though it's not a league I follow, I guess the Red Bulls as Thierry Henry used to play there.

Giants because the Jets are a **** organization and top rival for my Miami Dolphins.

Yankees because the Mets are a more common adversary for my Cubs.

Rangers because Original 6.

Knicks because the Nets just bore me.

Yankees was my "AL" team as a kid, I was a big Mattingly fan.  The Mets are pond scum.

I like the Rangers, mainly because of how much I dislike the Bruins and Flyers.

The breakdown is usually Yankee and Giants fans since those are the older more establishment teams and then Jets/Mets fans who root for the underdog.

Devils. That's it. And I resent that they're considered a New York team.

Devils, Giants, and Yankees. But that's only because those are the only sports teams whose games I've attended. I honestly don't care that much about sports in general and only have the mildest amount of loyalty possible to these teams.
