I just don't understand why the double standard against Tobacco, meanwhile Pot is a'ok! I have nothing against either, but the left seems to be trying to wipe tobacco use out while supporting pot and other drugs. I wanted to expand use of Tobacco within federal lands but the left has killed it.

Not sure it's the left who are solely to blame when people in your own caucus have either voted this down or refused to vote for it?

Supporting legalizing pot is primarily a left wing thing.

Voting has ended.

By a vote of 1-7-0-1, this bill fails to pass.

I made a note for the deadline 72 hours after the vote starts. Now I see there was a 24 hours to vote that reduced the original voting time so we didn't have 72 hours to vote.

Nay
I don't want tobacco to be treated more severely than drugs but I wasn't shown the law that treats drugs so I don't know if it's different. I don't have a problem with the states and federal government to each have some form of tax. I vote nay because this seems to allow smoking inside in common areas and I don't want people to be forced to be in polluted air.

Sorry about that – if people think it would be helpful to have an additional reminder whenever I shorten the voting period (and don't mind the excessive PMing), I'll take that into consideration for future use.
