Does anyone think (or even not think) that 2000 would have turned out differently had we been using IRV?

Just for fun, I set up a demovote IRV on it here

I imagine that Buchanan and Nader would have done extremely well under IRV. Gore would win methinks.

(Btw I voted: 1. Browne 2. Nader 3. Hagelin.. Ick.. 4. Gore Ick... 5. Buchanan 6. Philips 7. W)

I would've voted for Gore, and no one else. He was the only decent candidate running.

I immediately put Gore as #1, and then I stared at the other candidates for a while before deciding that I really didn't feel like voting for anyone else.

Gore, then Nader. Then I put Bush in third because the others would all have been even worse than Bush, and I'd rather see Bush president than, say, Hagelin or Buchanan.

Ditto that, with Hagelin. Now the data are so messed up it isn't worth looking at all.

2000 was my first election, so I'm not educated about the less famous candidates.

1. Nader

2. Gore

I don't know who I rather win out of Buchanun and Bush but I wouldn't vote for someone if I didn't want them to win.
