Conservatives: "Bernie Sanders and AOC love to talk about Denmark and Sweden, but those countries aren't socialist. They're capitalist!"

Democrats: "We want a universal single-payer healthcare system that countries like Denmark and Sweden have."

Conservatives: "THAT'S SOCIALIST!"

Bad straw man.

I have some socialistic leaning viewings on land but in my ideal country almost no one would call it socialist.

Lol 90s Dem would be considered so right wing in today's dem party it wouldnt be funny. Remember when Dems though Jim Webb was moderate lol, he was still more liberal than the 90s Dems as a whole

Seems that the only snowflakes I see are getting triggered by people supporting this. Why are American conservatives so deathly afraid of something that pretty much every other first world country has?

Because it works. When Medicare was passed in 1965, the same arguments being made back then are being made today (with the same doomsday predictions by clown journos)

When Medicare was launched in 1965, nobody had any clue whether it would work

It's very interesting how the Republican party is allowed to become twice as Conservative as the Democratic party is liberal and nobody points it out.

Calling anyone who supports single-payer healthcare a socialist is extremely dumb.

The only people who are in competitive enough seats for this to hurt are Cartwright, Golden, DeFazio, Hill, Porter and Harder.

Of these DeFazio and Hill are basically safe

Harder and Porter's districts are still winnable, but trending Dem (Porter is also much more vulnerable than Harder, I would say CA-10 is Lean/Likely D and CA-45 is Tilt/Lean D)

Golden is probably DOA as Trump and Collins will comfortably win his district

So Cartwright seems to be the only Tossup member here, but I view his race as Tossup/Tilt D.

Overall, most of the people represent liberal districts and are catering to their base. This position will really only hurt Cartwright and Porter

So basically the HP liberals in moderate districts should be targeted by the GOP instead of burning money in unwinnable VA-10, CO-06, FL-27, and FL-26

Bennie Thompson a socialist?

Hell, half of these reps are well to the right of me.

Because healthcare shouldn't be an extremist issue.

I just love that every single one of these "socialists" won re-election, including those in swing districts. Maybe it's because it's not an extremist position to do what every other developed country in the world does and what 71% of Americans support according to exit polls?

What are you talking about ?

With the exception of Cartwright and Golden all the congressmen / congresswomen who are on this list hail from Clinton / Biden districts, and in the vast majority they hail from very deep blue districts.
