Obviously, Biden won Asian vote hands down, but like with how Biden won Hispanic vote, but Trump won Cuban, Venezuelan and possibly Colombian, wondering if Trump won any Asian groups.  In particular Filipinos and Vietnamese.  Vietnamese-Americans tend to be quite anti-communist so wonder if same impact as Cuban-Americans.  Filipino-Americans are culturally fairly conservative and often working class so I could see Trump doing well there.  Doubt he won any other Asian subgroups.

Aside from some more obscure smaller groups like Mien or Montagnards, the only plausible answer would be Vietnamese. The AAPI Data general election poll implied Biden had a 52% floor with Filipinos.

Edit: Westminster, CA swung 23 points R from 2016 to 2020. Post-election polls from 2016 said Vietnamese voted something like 61-35 Hillary. If we assume the overall Vietnamese vote also swung 23 points R, we get something like 49-47 Biden.

For Vietnamese-Americans, probably best place to look is precinct numbers as I believe there are a few municipalities in Orange County, California where they are significant.  Westminster, California is 40% Vietnamese-American so I think results there at least could give good indication.  Orange County overall went for Biden by 10 points but it is mixed with any groups and no municipal breakdown yet.

There is precinct level data available on the County website.

Vietnamese I believe and that’s it. They’re like the Cubans of Asians.

The Filipino population are generally quite spiritual (mostly Catholic and some Muslim) and are very involved with their society and church/mosque.

Anecdotally, I work with two Filipino gentlemen with large families.  Every single member in those two families voted for Biden.  They are pro-life, but they look at the big picture and are not single issue.  They are deeply involved in social justice programs and are very proud that the new President is a Catholic.  And they don't take their lead from some so-called spiritual figure that tells them what to do.

They’ve been the #1 ethnic group impacted by COVID-19. That is probably why I think many of them went over to Biden.

Your Filipino gentlemen sound extremely based!

Anyway, Vietnamese Americans are the only plausible (sizable) subgroup, and I would bet on Trump having carried them, although it could have gone either way.
