Gee, someone actually standing up on principle!  I'm stunned.

Still, while there is freedom from arrest for a member of Congress, I'm not seeing freedom from searches.

Gonzalez would be right to do so as well.  There is no basis for Congress to demand the papers to be returned.  Congress is not above the law.  If the can raid a Judges office in an investigation, the Congressional offices are fair game.
