If you knew that person next door was a Trump supporter or looked like a stereotypical Trump supporter, would you live next to that person?

As long as they didn’t bother me or shove their politics in my face, sure. Even though my area is more liberal, hard to avoid Trump supporters in Kentucky so obviously I’m used to it. I don’t even know what my next door neighbors’ politics are to be honest. Don’t really care to know. They don’t “look like” stereotypical Trump supporters though.

Yes, most of my neighborhood is Republican (though there is a Biden sign a few houses down from mine, pretty damning for Trump if you ask me). Hell, the majority of my work place backs Trump and it hasn't caused me to quit.

Sure, my local precinct voted 55% Clinton - 43% Trump in 2016, and I haven't had any conflicts with my neighbors over politics.

Actually do. Our neighbors are GOPers. The husband actually voted for Trump in 2016 and was a big supporter (yes, there are few in coastal CA), but is undecided this time due to Covid. His wife voted Gary Johnson last time and will hold her nose to vote for Biden this time.

We (my wife & I) have several political differences with them, who are nearly 2 decades older than us, but get along very well. They frequently over come for barbecue or vise versa. I even helped them with some work at their House last year, while they have lended their pickup truck to us to transport some furniture.

Depends on what kind. I already lived next to an elderly couple who were hardcore conservative Republicans who had an "I don't believe the liberal media" bumper sticker but always said hello and baked us things when we cleared their driveway of snow.

If they were just a more vocally political type, I would just smile while they're ranting and avoid political talk as much as possible, a skill I perfected in five years of working retail and food service.

But if it was some aggressively racist type, hell no, there would be problems and I would avoid them at all costs and probably buy a gun.

Being in Chicago, I don’t live near many. But, I could and would be just fine. I don’t make a habit of ruining personal relationships over politics.

Yes.  I might live next to some, I don't know my neighbors that well.

I have never interacted with my next-door neighbors beyond saying "hello" or holding the door for them in my life.

I could--I don't really interact with my next-door neighbors much.

I could live with anyone next store. As long as they’re not a convicted pedophile at least.

My next door neighbor was an old lady who got Republican fundraising stuff all the time (cause it would periodically get shoved in my mail slot from time to time) and I assume she was a Trumper, but we never talked about such things.   Had a surgery for cancer and went to a rehab facility and was doing well, but then got the COVID and did the yoyo thing for a month (better, worse, better, worse) and then died.

I live in a building that has 30 floors, so I obviously live by some, lol.

I’ve also heard some fairly timid pro-Trump things (with the clear desire to say more) from the conventionally hot blonde girls who hang at our apartment pool and talk loudly with their hoarse party girl voices ... which 100% jives with my college experience with female Naperchill types, lol.

Despite the blue and red divide, blue collar Vets that are Patriots are Republicans, even if you live in a blue state, they think GOP are Patriotic and they have sons or daughters serving or have served in war. So, we have lived next to Trump supporters. That's why Jack Murtha won the House for Ds in 2006 due to his cross over appeal to Vietnam Vers whom were Boomers and their kids whom served in PG I and II
