The RCP is actually ran by a cult leader, they're not a leftist influence group like the DSA, they're a LaRouchite-style political cult. They have virtually nothing to do with the non-RCP left (although they're able to sometimes set up convincing front organizations that fool other organizations into cooperating, like Refuse Fascism for a recent example) and even other tankies hate the RCP and want nothing to do with them. This is in other words a complete non-issue in regards to impact on the election, I just found it amusing.

Wow, there's a name I didn't expect to see on Atlas any time soon. Bob Avakian is a huge name among communists in Berkeley, and I used to live almost directly above a communist bookstore called Revolution Books that displayed a lot of his writings in their front window. The people who worked there basically treated Bob's word as gospel. I never opened one of his books, but I did read the quotes they had pasted on the window. It's... pretty verbose stuff, even for a Marxist.
