Reluctantly Abrams, but not by much and mostly just due to elected experience.

“Elected experience” as a state representative is nothing in comparison to being a high-ranking foreign policy official when it comes to qualifications for president.

This shouldn’t even be a question.

Can we have one for the election and one for the office?

Honestly, Abrams. Way less experience but makes more sense of a fresh face on the VP. Rice just makes no sense.

For all the criticism Rice gets on here

I do not for 1 second question her ability to actually step into the job on day 1. It is Simpy not very hard from to me to imagine Susan Rice as the president of the untied states

If Biden were not to seek a second term I for 1 would feel comfortable with Rice stepping into that job

no other VP pick has that same effect on me
sure I could picture Harris or Duckworth as great VP but when It comes to them potentially stepping into the role as president Im not confident about either 1 of them. I wish both of them well but I would nervous if Harris or even Duckworth were suddenly the president

I worry Susan Rice will be easy for Trump to attack though with his anti-International Organization stance.

Susan Rice is also closely linked to the Obama Administration which is another Trump attack maneuver.

Also, as the Ambassador to the UN, she likely interacted with Hillary Clinton a lot meaning we'd hear about the emails again which really contributed to Hillary's loss.

I agree with others that Rice is more qualified though, yet Abrams has less baggage and also gives a Southern boost to Biden, a New Englander.

I am not sure where Rice is a resident currently, yet she was born in DC and was considering a run against Senator Collins of Maine, so it leads me to believe she's somewhere in the Northeast, if not in Maine. Biden doesn't need additional help in the Northeast. He has it locked down pretty well on his own accord.

While many are pointing out Abrams's history as State Rep, don't forget she ran for Governor and only lost by 1.39% in an election that is widely considered to have engaged in voter suppression, which totally plays into the Democratic narrative this year.

I wouldn't discount Abrams as a serious VP contender.
