Quote
The FBI has received more than 240 reports of people disrupting Zoom sessions by broadcasting videos depicting child sexual abuse, the agency said Wednesday.

The FBI is now enlisting the public’s help in identifying more such incidents, known as “Zoom-bombing.” In a notice released Wednesday, the agency provided an online questionnaire to be filled out by anyone who has been exposed to child abuse videos during a Zoom session.

In recent months, the FBI has received reports of Zoom hijackers broadcasting pornographic and hateful images during video conferences.

Zoom should fix its security and privacy issues or risk easy competition rise up over them.

How did Zoom become so dominant so suddenly, anyway? There are tons of video chat apps out there, and I'd never even heard of this one until shortly before the pandemic started. Now it's as if it's the only one anyone uses.

I think they were one of the first video-conferencing apps to open up more free access in the wake of the evolving situation, so they probably got a big boost out of that.

I feel like I'm the only person on the internet who still has a Skype account.

I used Skype for the first time recently to be part of a Bible study group from my old church in Tallahassee. The discussion is great but I really miss those revival-fueled Pentecostal songs.

Contracts with companies, but especially with universities. You can easily make a product trend if you get enough of the young, social-media obsessed demographic.

To be fair, is there proof that these are actually people who are sexually attracted to children, or are they just internet trolls?

Really? That's disheartening.
