Is Jo Rae Perkins really a Qanon supporter?

I'm wondering if she'll do worse than Wehby.

Yes, she is a QAnon supporter: https://twitter.com/PerkinsForUSSen/status/1262895832069783553

I would not be shocked if she did worse than Wehby, if these comments actually got out, given that support for QAnon has been tied to the craziest parts of the far right. Also I'd imagine tying yourself this closely to Trump can't be popular in Oregon. Also let's not forget that Wehby was actually considered a serious candidate for a while, Perkins clearly isn't a serious candidate.

OR-2 is certainly in play for Merkley again, much like it was in 2014. Perkins is not a credible Republican nominee. Unfortunate that the state Republicans have gone from Gordon Smith to Perkins in a short 12 years.

Not that I want Republicans to be competitive in Senate races...but they really couldn't have gotten Greg Walden to run?

I mean, this is embarrassing for a political party to have a conspiracy nut as their nominee.

It would be like Texas Democrats nominating Marianne Williamson to run against John Cornyn.

Couldn't the Oregon Repubs have done a little vetting?

She's backing away from it now...

Her Tweet is now deleted, etc... still damage is done.

No, it's worse than that for the ORGOP. It's like the CA-32 race, with the CAGOP nominating Qanon wacko Joshua Scott. OR-SEN is safe D.

It was in her Twitter feed since 2018, but nobody in the R party could be bothered to look.

She now says she didn't realize that the statement would walk back her support for QAnon, she was "literally physically in tears" when she realized that's what it said, and that "Q is the information and I stand with the information resource."

The full quote is even better: "My campaign is gonna kill me,” Perkins said. “How do I say this? Some people think that I follow Q like I follow Jesus. Q is the information and I stand with the information resource.”

Far be it from me to criticize others'...."info"...sources, but she strikes me as the sort of person who proudly proclaims that "I don't watch FOX News or CNN.  I like to stay neutral and informed, so I get my news from ExtremePartisanReview.com."
