I haven't seen any of those except Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, which I thought was all over the place. Parts were garbage and parts were really really good. Overall not bad at all. Hritik is so hot. I'm straight but I can admit it. I know about the other 4 but haven't seen them.

I thought these films were pretty good, any thoughts?

THE CLASSICS...
- 3 Idiots
- Dil Chahta Hai
- DDLJ
- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (EDIT - you shared your thoughts above)

OVERRATED BUT GOOD
- Kabhi Kushie Khabie Gham
- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

UNDERRATED
- Swades
- OMG: Oh My God!
- Taare Zameen Par / Like Stars On Earth
- Jab Tak Hai Jaan
- Veer-Zaara
- Shahid
- Jab We Met

2000-2006 was the golden age of Bollywood, 2013-Present had been nothing but garbage
I mostly agree. I've seen a few good ones though, ranked best to worst below:

GREAT - The Lunchbox
VERY GOOD - Dangal
VERY GOOD - Kai Po Che!
VERY GOOD - Sultan
GOOD - Queen
GOOD - Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!
GOOD - Drishyam
ABOVE AVERAGE - Mary Kom
ABOVE AVERAGE - Masaan (indie film, be warned)
HALF-DECENT - Airlift
MEDIOCRE - Raees
MEDIOCRE - Bahubali 1+2 (guilty pleasure, sub-par quality)
BAD - Besharam  (garbage film but great music)

Seen any of these? Thoughts?

Maybe its just nostalgia why I really like the movie(given how it was my favorite Indian movie as a kid), but to answer your question

3 Idiots, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Taare Zameen Par , Kabhi Kushie Khabie Gham were really good , DDLJ and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai are massively overrated in my opinion and was never interested in rewatching those ever. Jab We Met was ok in my opinion but Ill say its underrated and I didn't like Veer-Zarra either.

Oh I forgot Dus is a massively underrated Bollywood movie and on a second thought I would bump it to number 4 on my list and Bunty Aur Bubli is also underrated though its not in my top 7. What do you think of those two movies.

Well, most Bollywood movies these days are in Hinglish, so you don't need to know much to understand.

I like 2000s Bollywood more than 2010s Bollywood though but I will make a controversial point and say that in my personal opinion 2000s Bollywood>1970s Bollywood(1970s is good too).

You don't like, say, Tiger Zinda Hai? I mean, it's hardly exemplary of great cinema, but it's entertaining.

I've never even heard of them (!). Will add them to my list of films to keep an eye out for.

1. Ran

Adding anything more would be superfluous.

Admittedly I haven’t seen that many foreign language films, but yeah, Ran is head and shoulders above most of what I have seen. With the possible exception of Parasite.

Well, I could name a ton of American and British, and perhaps even a couple Canadian and Australian productions here but that would probably not honor the spirit of this thread.

So, I was taking a good look at my film collection to identify the few non-German and non-Anglophone productions there. It apparently comes down to the Late 70s French political thriller I... comme Icare starring Yves Montand (which later on saw sort of a defictionalized quasi-remake in form of Oliver Stone's JFK) and the Japanese animes Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence.

Lol.

If you're gonna watch a trashy action film, why not go with Hollywood with better budgets and special effects? Ultimately that's just my opinion though, to each their own.
