Anyways, as for her next steps, I wouldn't be shocked if she tried to run statewide again in 2022, the AZ bench is kind of thin, and she's at least a decent-dish candidate on paper, she just needs to learn not to make dumb attacks, such as the "Pink tutu" in 2018 or her "liberal hack" gaffe about a CNN reporter in January of this year. But, this race is over, and her logical next steps are probably to become a lobbyist.

I would if she managed to get through a Republican primary. Two consecutive GE defeats usually deny a politician a chance for a meaningful comeback without an appointed period in the interim and the AZ bench is thin because the local Republican party has proven happy to ditch incumbents and retreads before.

If there's some kind of Kelly scandal, or Trump's fortunes dramatically change, then of course she could still win (never say never). I agree with everyone else but her best bet would be to take the approach of vulnerable republicans in 2016- horde all your cash until October (when you have a much more clear view of the race), attack Kelly relentlessly over the Democratic brand & avoid taking any sort of moralistic stand on Trump (that ship has sailed)

She's burnt any attempt to run away from Trump & the two republicans who did this in 2016 in Clinton States both lost (Ayotte & Heck) while they who remained silent won.
