Sanders "only" lost CT by 5 points in 2016, and this is the kind of state where he would have needed to make significant inroads in order to be truly competitive nationally. Needless to say, the man is beyond burnt toast.

But the only way for him to be  competitive nationally would be if Pete stayed in. Imo Pete would have won CT because lots of rich whites
