What's up, Atlasia? It's Leinad here, your favorite ^{[dubious - discuss]} former Governor, Senator, Representative, Southern Delegate, President, Active Citizen, Inactive Citizen, and Founding Father, ready to run for the People's House of Representatives!

L - Liberty! - Equality without liberty is pointless. We must combat authoritarianism, whether it is left-wing, right-wing, or centrist in form. What good is having single-payer healthcare if after being treated you're thrown in jail for a celebratory joint? I suppose it's better than if smoking is the only treatment you can afford in the first place, but let's not act like a society is in any way good if you don't have the freedom to make some bad choices. People don't become more moral if Big Brother is enforcing morality upon them, and rarely does a central authority tasked with improving the morality of people begat anything other than more suffering.

E - Equality! - Liberty without equality is pointless. No one is truly free unless everyone is free, and we must not accept freedom for some on the backs of the oppressed. Wealth inequality is a plague on the country with far-reaching effects on the health of our society beyond the obvious economic concerns, as well as bigotry against those for reasons such as gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, where they were born, their disadvantages in life, and other reasons as well. It must be up to those of us--whether we have experienced negative treatment for these things or simply care for those who do--to stand in solidarity against all oppression. And we must also be honest about what has caused our economic inequality, and attack that at it's core.

I - International Responsibility! - Staying out of war is our first priority in foreign policy, but we must also be agents of peace and progress. There are bad regimes out there who want to hurt innocent people, and we need to make sure we're on the side of innocent people. Of course I will not fall into the trap that many have: supporting a continuation of our military-industrial complex's reign of terror on the planet in the name of "humanitarian causes." But I will also not fall into the trap of letting this perversion of "humanitarianism" turn our eyes blind to the oppression of authoritarians the world over. Likewise, we must support the global environment, we must combat the climate disaster before it's too late, we must be a home for the refugee, and we must always consider how our actions effect the underprivileged and oppressed in countries other than our own.

N - New Ideas! - I'm old but that doesn't mean everything I say is! The game isn't fun if it's the same old geezers talking about the same old things. I'm open to radical policy proposals, game reform proposals, supporting new people in the game (which sometimes means telling them when they're wrong, unfortunately!), and supporting any idea, be it in the AFG or AFE board, that breaths some fresh air into this smoggy environment we call "Atlasia."

A - the Atlasian Way! - idk what I mean by this but it starts with the letter "A" and sounds like something cool. (Also I wasn't going to say "activity" lol.) This is the part you are supposed to project whatever you personally want onto my campaign. Go ahead. I'll wait.

D - Democracy! - I support democratic government. I support control by The People over the centralized oligarchies of political or corporate power structures. I oppose campaigns that refuse to tell The People what they want to do (just barely got mine out before the election! Tongue

). I support keeping The People informed and combating misinformation, especially when misinformation is so often used as a tool for tricking voters into supporting continued oppression. I oppose either changing or continuing the status quo if it is done by smoke-filled rooms with no consideration for what The People want, or what is best for Them. And I oppose politicians that get elected into office by a certain constituency of The People, and then switch sides when a slick operator whispers sweet nothings in their ear. I will be elected by voters who want someone to stand for an agenda against all forms of oppression, and I will do so! I will stand against bigotry against people for any reason, I will stand against the excess inequality caused by capitalism, and I will stand for Peace!
