*voiceover*

Many people are supporting John Ford from a wide range of backgrounds and ideologies. Many seem to think he's an inclusive centrist. But the evidence shows that is hardly the case.

Rather than show bipartisan tolerance, Ford actually said he would disown his child if they became a Democrat!

1. gay No
2. atheist No
3. fundy christian No
4. muslim No
5. republican No
6. democrat Yes
7. libertarian No
8. have an abortion Yes
9. drug user Yes
10. neo-confederate Yes

Is someone who would go to such lengths the type of person we can expect for unity and fairness?

Furthermore, Ford also gave ratings of approval to John Ashcroft and Pat Robertson!

4
John Ashcroft
Zell Miller
John McCain

3
George W. Bush
Dick Cheney
Bill Frist
Tom DeLay
Pat Robertson

2
Harry Reid

1
Nancy Pelosi
Gloria Steinem
Jesse Jackson
Al Gore
John Kerry
Nadine Strossen
Robert Byrd
Ted Kennedy
Ralph Nader
Pat Buchanan
Joycelyn Elders

What's moderate about that? Should someone who condones such extremism be holding the top office?

Unless you're looking for partisan ostrasization and advocacy of right wing extremism, Ford is NOT the candidate for you.

lol

The disowning of a Democratic child was in jest of course.  No reasonable person would actually disown their child for joining the opposition party.

I did and do approve of Ashcroft.  He was an effective AG.

I'd certainly give a lower rating of Pat Robertson today than I would at the time.  Things change, like his ramblings about Venezuela and his connections to Charles Taylor coming to the surface.

You make a good point, but make it poorly, BRTD. I think maybe trying to rally for Ebowed instead of attacking Ford would be better. (or even better, rally for ILV! Grin)

What exactly is his point, though?  In those posts I say I'd accept a child who was gay or a different religion, and I've said that my comments about party were in jest.  And I rate Pat Buchanan at the bottom of that 1-4 scale.  If he's trying to say I'm not mdoerate, he certainly picked the wrong posts.

Yes, I echo the Vice President by reiterating that Connoisseurs of Southern Minnesota Strip Clubs for Truth is wholly unaffiliated with the Ebowed-Q campaign.

I think BRTD is actually a John Ford plant to steal votes from Ebowed/Q.  I can't explain this any other way.
