A grand coalition between a neoliberal conservative flamangist party and a social democrat party who as only governing party torpedoed and blocked TTIP agreement? Would this marriage even have a chance of succeeding. Do we need to go through with it? With the social democrat - liberal - conservative coalition, and exclude christian democrats, greens, far-right and far-left?

Hell no. Given current results (which granted are hard to work with), the coalition should be something like this imo:

PS/sp.a + Groen/Ecolo + MR/OpenVLD.

Add the 2 DeFI MPs if necessary.

Why hasn't this coalition been pursued? Too left wing for MR/VLD I assume?

Yes certainly too left-wing especially for VLD. And we need one MP more, as one social democrat in parliament has resigned from the social democrats after allegiations of supporting radical terrorist groups in the Middle East (or fraud... idk anymore). Maybe both, wouldn't surprise me.

Vivaldi coalition is also possible but we still don't have a majority on Flemish side than, and CD&V (the flemish christian democrats) said they wouldn't enter government without N-VA. CD&V also said they wouldn't enter government without a Flemish majority, and obstruct everything because of it, citing it's not their responsability to form a government, as they were the losers of the last elections.
