I say no, since capturing something on camera arouses the emotions of the audience, something that should not happen in a branch of government that is meant to be impartial. I wonder by how much was the Michael Jackson thing distorted because of CNN having 24-hour coverage of the trial?

I'm ambivalent.

My instinct is to be against it.  The administration of 'justice' is enough of a media circus as it is.

OTOH, if the public is more exposed to the way the justice system really operates, it might demand change for the better.  That's wishful thinking, anyway.
