Local and national GOP leaders distanced themselves Wednesday from a Florida congressional candidate who sent a fundraising letter stating that “anti-American radical Democrats” should be hung for treason.

George Buck, one of six Republican primary candidates for Florida’s 13th Congressional District, referred to several Democrats but in particular to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, D-Minnesota. Omar was born in Somalia and came to the U.S. as a child.

In the recent letter to potential donors, he said that “we should hang” Omar and other “traitors” for “abusing our system to destroy our country.” He mentioned “tinfoil hat accusations” against President Donald Trump, but didn’t elaborate.

Lol, the guy is accusing Omar of being in the pockets of a foreign state, like the sucking off of the Gulf states and Russia aren’t clear examples.

I am shocked the Florida GOP would bother. (They must feel that the various branches of their party have been saying the quiet parts out loud a little too much lately.)

Projection, corruption, authoratarianism and hypocrisy are the four pillars of the Republican Party.

He is the second Republican candidate in as many days to ask for Omar's hanging.
Starts to look like a trend.

You know it's bad when the Florida GOP is distancing itself from you.

I'm more upset at the bunk polling for giving us the idea that Democrats had a chance for once.

The FL GOP (party apparatus not individual candidates) seems to be the only ones in their party doing things right lately.  They realize they've in a divided state and trying to promote candidates accordingly.  It seems like they were one of the few states to buck national trends in 2018 and that's probably for a reason.  I seem to recall them compromising on gun control after the shooting down there.  Seems like a better strategy than the TX GOP just waiting for demographics and migration to destroy them the way it did in Virginia.

Somebody could use a visit from the Secret Service or from a US Marshal.

Opposition to the President is statutory treason suitable for execution -- if the President is Bashir Assad.  I don't think we want that sort of President.

Yes, I am sick of President Trump.  I am so sick of him that I would prefer to exchange him for Warren Gamaliel Harding (the worst of the 20th century) coming back from the grave. Dor now I will be satisfied with impeaching him. He deserves removal, but I already assume that the fix is in. That said, I will not speak of any further consequences for him.

I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.

Thomas Jefferson

Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.
