I haven't seen the ads, but something tells me using the threats of lawsuits to get the adds pulled is not going to help Delay in his district

Depends on how misleading or inaccurate the ads were.  If they were bad enough that Delay could possibly win a lawsuit, then they probably shouldn't have been allowed by the stations to run in the first place.  That's the main problem with TV advertising.  TV stations are generally not willing to any sort of fact checking before the ad runs.  It's a problem not just with political ads, tho obviously that attracts the most attention here.
