Quote
State prosecutors in Manhattan have subpoenaed President Trump’s accounting firm to demand eight years of his personal and corporate tax returns, according to several people with knowledge of the matter.
...
The state prosecutors are seeking a range of tax documents from the accounting firm, Mazars USA, including Mr. Trump’s personal returns and those of his business, the Trump Organization. The subpoena seeks federal and state returns for both the president and the company dating back to 2011, the people said.
...
While the federal prosecutors who charged Mr. Cohen stated in a court filing in July that they had “effectively concluded” their inquiry into possible crimes committed by the company or its executives, Mr. Vance’s office is exploring whether the reimbursements violated any New York state laws.

Treating something not a legitimate business expense as a deductible item by falsifying its nature is tax fraud. Do you remember Leona Helmsley? She went to prison for that... probably in fact for bullying accountants into making false claims for deductible expenses.

The IRS treats those who try to make fools of them as what most of us think such people are -- criminals.

Trump paid the wrong amount of hush money -- too much to hide and too little to keep Stormy Daniels quiet. Maybe it would have been wiser for him to have better control of his schlong...

I wonder if he has paid for an abortion and called that a deductible expense.

If the congressional GOP wasn't so hypocrite and cowardly, they would have supported impeachment proceedings. Everyone knows that paying off pornstars before an election is nothing short of a violation of campaign finance laws, ergo an impeachable offense. Even if you forget about Russia and massive conflicts of interest, this alone would be enough for impeachment against any prez. The rule of law must be upheld.

Better yet, he should have never gotten married. Let alone 3 times. He could have did what he wanted. No one would care. He has his own money. I understand needing heirs. It would have been far more acceptable to just have a baby momma than what he has done. When you have 2 billion dollars, you can make things happen even if who you knocked up or knocked you up isn't in the picture.

Of course he's had three wives.

He prizes all his possessions, and loves to show off their unbelievable high quality.

I remember seeing a book assessing the Presidents on several different characteristics, one of them morals. The author excused Thomas Jefferson with Sally Hemings because he was a widower, he was loyal to her, and she was a good intellectual match for her even if the relationship were illicit at the time. She was also a close relative of his late wife. It excused one affair (anyone can make the mistake of marrying a frigid wife -- FDR and Eisenhower) and divorce (likewise -- Reagan), but it could not excuse someone having multiple affairs or divorces. The author raked Harding, Kennedy, and Clinton over the moral coals for having sex with seemingly any female who made herself available.

Donald Trump is an extreme narcissist. Everything is a toy to him, and anyone that can say no to him or demand attention at an inopportune time is disposable. It is telling that he has never had a pet dog or cat, either of which will insist on something at times not fully of one's convenience.
