What is your opinion of Lashana Lynch becoming the next James Bond after Daniel Craig?

As I understood the reports, Lashana Lynch is not supposed to become "the next James Bond".

In the next film, she plays a character named "Nomi" who inherited the 007 code number after Daniel Craig's James Bond retired. Her mission is to seek out Bond and convince him to come back out of retirement, which he evidently does.

So far, there has been no decision on who's gonna play James Bond or 007 in the following sequels. For all we know, it's possible that Lynch's character won't even survive the next movie.

Yeah, I think Barbara Broccoli leaked this on purpose so the movie will get all this positive pre movie press about being so "woke" but then will end up being a normal James Bond movie. Probably a smart move on their part.

I feel divided about this. We need more women and people of color as heroes and spies. However, changing James Bond, who I've always seen as a playboy in an escapist fantasy, into something entirely different is just not the way to go.
