It's very telling that these conservative commentators who love to make a big fuss about left-wing "safe spaces" and the like are too sensitive to handle relatively innocuous insults like this.

Everything the right has complained about the left over has proven time and again to be nothing more than projection.

Best Twitter comment.

Dude, you should totally go to his house and call him a bed bug.

Bret Stephens is an example of why I have so little faith in supposed "anti-Trump" Republicans to do the right thing and vote for Democrats when the time comes.

The Bret Stephens-bedbug storyline is one of the dumbest ing stories of 2019 and I hate it so much.

Stephens was being unbelievably petty and small but honestly the incredibly widespread dogpiling and public shaming from figures on the left is more shameful and pathetic. Whether it's the sheer volume of brainpower being used to think about this complete non-story or the childish dunk culture everybody is using to cruelly make jokes at his expense, I'm horrified not just the amount of attention this story has gotten but also at how many people are participating in this.

All he had to do was let it go. He will now FOREVER be remembered as "the bed bug guy". What a fail.
