Huntsman was my first choice, followed by Romney. I'd have possibly supported Perry as well, but honestly not sure I could get past his social stances.

I supported Ron Paul with an extreme yet naive enthusiasm in 2008. If I'd had the only vote in 2012 I would have supported him again, but I ended up backing Rick Perry because I didn't want to get emotionally interested in a candidate that had 0% chance of winning the primary.

Wait, fellow Paulite, why on earth did you pick Perry then? Tongue

Because I figured the only real options were Perry and Romney. None of the others had a real shot at the nomination. After "oops" I shifted over to Newt, but by then it was only because of my stubborn refusal to acknowledge that Romney was inevitable. 2012 was a field of awful candidates though.

2012 sucked besides Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, Doctor Stein, and Huntsman - the last of whom was my second choice because he had a reasonable foreign policy compared to the other neocons.
