Mass Shooting in Dayton Ohio, Possibly 10 Dead, Suspect Possibly Dead

The real story out of this is the miraculous intervention of the Police within 30 seconds of the first shooting.

It's not a normal human reaction to run towards gunfire and if the deputy in Florida high school shooting had the same demeanor, lives would have been saved there too.

If the Dayton gunman had gotten into the bar with 100 rounds with 100 people inside, it would have been an atrocity.

From the video footage, the Dayton Police did really well to gun him down in the short time they had to make the decision.

They deserve the gratitude of everyone in their community.

You mean it would have been a worse atrocity.  It already was one.

In the video, you see dozens and dozens of patrons running on the sidewalk. It seems that they are trying to escape the area, and many of them are running into a nearby establishment (possibly a bar). As they run from the killer, he is soon behind them and tries to enter the establishment to kill many more victims.

But luckily, just as the killer reaches the doorway to this establishment, the police take him down with multiple gun shots. He is literally stopped, right before entering the door (as seen at the 24 seconds mark, in the video). If the killer had entered (and was not stopped) he surely would have killed many, many more innocent people.

For starters, I guess you can at least ban 31+ capacity mags.

Not that it would matter that much, but it's the most I see realistically being passed, just like the bump stock ban.

And guns aren't the only issue, as things like this don't happen in places where people have tons of much meaner, totally unregistered guns.
