Do we have any idea on this? Was the Lincoln Project effective? It looks to me like Trump largely held onto, and even expanded his base in most places, it's just that the Dem turnout was even higher. Does that sound right?

According to exit polls, 6% of Republicans voted for Biden. That's down from 8% for Hillary in 2016.

Bear in mind that some Republicans who hate Trump probably changed their party registration to either Democrat or independent since 2016. The Lincoln Project's real target was independents, and it seems like they sufficiently broke to Biden.

That's probably because a lot of them don't consider themselves Republicans anymore.

...and they probably shouldn't. The GOP have gone down the rabbit hole of Qanon nonsense. I hope they can be resurrected because that sh*t is truly dangerous to the survival of western culture, but I'm not exactly super optimistic.

The % of self-IDed Republicans voting Biden is almost certainly very, very low since "Republicans" who don't like Trump increasingly don't identify as such.

The % of registered Republicans is probably also low since people are changing registrations based on Trump. But presumably it's higher.
