Why do white people listen to rap music, wear Air Jordan's, Nikes, etc., when it is Black-dominated? Isn't that appropriation?

This is yet again peak bronz...

Because preferences and personal taste transcend skin color (I even don't like the term race)? I acctually like a lot of black musicans or genres like Jazz, which is dominated by African Americans. Why should it even matter?

As a 50 y.o. white guy, I have forgotten things you have not even learnt yet.

In this case, you probably just need to be less sensitive. This is mostly in your imagination.

No because it's not "Black" culture.  It's just culture.  African Americans have contributed great things, why shouldn't we as whites share it?

I usually listen to Broadway showtunes, but at the same time I like "Natural Born Killazs" by Ice Cube.  Go figure

Cultural appropriation is (mostly) good unless done in a disrespectful way. So, no.

I appreciate the effort, but we now have a more succinct way to identify these kinds of threafs.

I don't think 50 Cent, Michael Jordan, or [insert famous black man here] care about white people buying their stuff, they're in the business of making money and are willing to take it from whatever hands will give it to them, even if they don't have a lot of melanin. It's very wince-worthy when people as white as flour chant the n-word casually or talk in AAVE, but like, buying a black dude's product isn't cultural appropriation as long as you respect African-American culture.

Side note, but what do you mean by Nike being "black culture???" It's a monolith in the athletic wear industry, and it makes up a gargantuan number of casual shoewear you see on the street by all races. There is definitely a culture around wearing Nike stuff, but like, everyone wears Nike shoes. Who care
