Be it enacted by both houses of Congress assembled:

1. This Act may be cited as the “Protecting our Neglected Species Act”.

SECTION 2.

1. The North American Great Ape, (Homo sasquatchis), also known as bigfoot, is hereby added to the Endangered Species List. 50 C.F.R. 17.11 shall be amended accordingly.
2. The Great American Skunk Ape, (Homo swampii) is hereby added to the Endangered Species List. 50 C.F.R. 17.11 shall be amended accordingly.

With threats of logging and deforestation, urban expansion, and hunting rampant, the Sasquatch is in the most serious situation it has ever been in. It's time to take a stand and protect one of our most precious and vulnerable species from extinction.

To everyone opposing this: what would you tell your grandkids when they ask you why you didn't do more to save Bigfoot from extinction?

I don't think Bigfoot exists, but IF it did, I would definitely say it qualifies as endangered.

There's precedent for the skunk ape too ...

Anyway I will vote against this as Bigfoot doesn't exist  but this could restrict many different activities where the hypothetical bigfoot could live.
