That looks a lot like the 1976 US election.

I would post a pic but it would just get deleted.

Well from 2004 until 2006 the Pacific was controlled by a moderate Republican called John Ford and a populist right indy named WMS. People aligned with them won most of the offices, often facing token opposition from the then joke/troll party JCP.

Things changed in 2006. John Ford left the forum and the JCP's numbers grew. Bgwah was elected as Governor, a post he would hold for two years, during which time WMS' rebellion happened. Opposition melted away and the JCP would remain dominant in the region through the JCP's dissolution, a dominance that would then be picked up by the Liberals and continued until Rimjob, when Labor gained the upper hand along with their ex TPP allies.

When Labor and TPP had their messy divorce in mid 2014, TPP gained an upper hand in the Pacific, which led to Windjammer stripping it to help fuel his conquest of the Mideast. The TPP then did likewise during the early part of 2015 to try and save Hagrid in the South from PiT (It didn't work). The CRs concentrated in the region and Feds began to expand their roles there as well. There had been a substantial conservative push in the summer of 2014, which arguably weakened the Mideast and left it open for Windjammer's said invasion. This surge largely melted away though. The 2015 one carried over to 2016 and through the reset/consolidation, coming unglued in late 2016/early 2017.
