Buttigieg would be the most difficult for Trump to defeat? LOL. You mean the guy who has an entire page explaining his color palette, but hasn't bothered to create a policy page?

Well if nothing else, he's definitely got the graphic designer demographic sewn up.

Not listing candidates who haven't declared or don't have a snowball's chance in hell at the nomination.

Easiest

Harris
Booker
Warren
O'Rourke
Buttigieg
Biden
Sanders

Hardest

I think he has greater than 50% chance against anybody not named Sanders, and about 40% against Sanders.

Easiest to Hardest: Buttigieg<Sanders<Biden.

The other four listed don't have a snowball's chance in hell at the nomination.

Warren and Harris would be the easiest for Trump to beat, because of their unbearable personalities.

The rest of the field are, in a real way, Generic D, except for Sanders.  I really don't know where Sanders falls in all of this.

Only Biden and Sanders could plausibly beat Trump (barring an indictment or other black swan events). They are the only candidates with any appeal to the working class who aren't otherwise toxic (Warren and Klobuchar could get there, but I haven't seen anything suggesting they will).

30-50%
Harris
Warren
O'Rourke

50-65%
Sanders
Buttigieg
Booker

80%
Biden

Buttigieg would be the most difficult for Trump to defeat? LOL. You mean the guy who has an entire page explaining his color palette, but hasn't bothered to create a policy page?

This is the greatest homophobia I have ever seen or experienced in my life.

Easiest: Warren, and it's not even close

Hardest: Biden

As a Sanders supporter myself, I'm wondering if his electability is overrated on this forum. His coalition will be far more reliant on Obama-Trump voters (who stayed pretty loyal to the GOP in 2018) than those of other candidates. And Trump could just nickname him "Breadline Bernie" and have the RNC run ads about socialism and Venezuela etc. Not saying he COULDN'T win, he's just far more of a wild card than any other Democrat running right now.

I don’t think anyone should pretend to know for sure, but my guess would be:
Buttigieg
Booker
Warren
Harris
O’Rourke
Biden
Sanders

Though the difference between the candidates wouldn’t be all that large, and again, this totally depends on the kind of campaign each run and what’s in the political zeitgeist next year. That’s something we can’t know right now.

From the easiest to the hardest one

Gillibrand : she is Hillary in worse
Warren : too left wing, too intellectual
Harris : completely out of touch with the average American voter
O’Rourke : a young golden boy without any achievement in life

Sanders : too left wing but he has a chance because he looks sincere in his beliefs
Buttigieg : charismatic but inexperienced

Biden : he is the toughest one, he doesn’t scare anyone, he is popular with suburban moms in Chester county and at the same time he can appeal to some blue collar workers in Macomb County

The Forum that thought Clinton was going to win in a landslide in October 2016 is trying to handicap 6-10 different races 18 months ahead of time (I said Clinton was blowing it and was ignored).

It's too early to handicap these things now.

We wont know until the nomination takes place. Sanders and Biden are kneck and kneck in polls.

Sanders and Biden are evenly matched

Harris and Beto are losing ground.

Its a Tantium D race, but Trump should be taken seriously. Trump has no plan, Dems do and proposals are getting rid of soft money and getting rid of Columbus day and a millionaire tax to increase longevity of SSA

This is the correct answer. Another election against Trump will be just as volatile as the first one. So much could happen that can change the race and who it favors in an instant. There are too many variables to take into account. So really the answer is that everyone and no one, at the same time, can beat Trump.

Warren
Booker
Sanders
Biden
Harris
Buttigieg
O'Rourke

I think most people overrate the differences, though. They're all probably somewhere from Lean D to Toss-up to win the EC.

Okay, I've been looking through Mayor Butt's website-- can we talk about this? This is honestly one of the most tone-deaf things I've ever seen from a presidential candidate. This is Romney/47%-tier.

Imagine being a laid-off factory worker in Michigan and looking at this image on Buttigieg's website. This lovely color swatch is symbolic of the demise of American manufacturing and the subsequent increase in suicide rates, drug abuse, and unemployment in a massive part of this country. Boy, this tasteful and elegant orange ochre hue certainly does justice to the scope and tragedy of this dismal aspect of American life.
