A splendid evening to the good people of Lincoln. I am running for the open Lincoln Council seat as a Federalist in the upcoming special election. So why support me you may ask? Below is a list of principles which I pledge to uphold:

I believe in the inalienable rights and freedoms of all peoples; and will work towards a lean government that minimises interference in our daily lives; and maximises individual and private sector initiative

I believe a government that nurtures and encourages its citizens through incentive, rather than putting limits on people through the punishing disincentives of burdensome taxes and the stifling structures of Labor's corporate state and bureaucratic red tape.

I believe in the most basic freedoms of republican democracy - the freedom of thought, worship, speech and association

I believe in upholding the fundamental right to self defence and to keep and bear arms.

I believe in a just and humane society in which the role of law and justice is maintained.

I believe in equal opportunity for all Lincolnites and all Atlasians; and the encouragement and facilitation of wealth so that all may enjoy the highest possible standards of living, health, education and social justice.

I believe that, wherever possible, government should not compete with an efficient private sector; and that businesses and individuals - not government - are the true creators of wealth and employment.

I believe in preserving Lincolns natural beauty and the environment for future generations.

I pledge to work with my fellow Federalists and across the aisle to achieve these goals, and to continue the tradition of proper conduct and political etiquette within the Lincoln council.

In short, I believe in equality under the law, individual freedom, the system of private enterprise and economic liberty. Thankyou.

Lincoln is a tough nut to crack for right-wingers, but you gave it your best shot. Even though you came up short, you still put in admirable effort. And hopefully you'll run for the Council next month, so you can have a go in governing.
