I believe she's now the leader of the FL Dems at this point, plus she'll be pressured by many to challenge DeSantis in 2022 for the FL Governor's Mansion or Rubio for United States Senator, but I think it's best if she stays put where she is right now, wait for the right time to strike.

What's her political future ?

A.) United States Senator in 2024

B.) FL Governor's Mansion in 2026 (Nunez vs. Fried would be awesome).

Her best option would be to wait for the results of 2020 and make a decision. In 2022, if Trump is re-elected, she can run for Senate or Governor, whatever she prefers. Either one would be competitive. If a Democrat is elected in 2020, she should probably wait and challenge Rick Scott in 2024.

She'll run for Governor or Senate one day and lose.
