BATTLEGROUND 2018
Florida

President Trump has not only aggressive control of the Republican but also the country. Florida has continually been close with the last two being decided by less than two points, will this follow the trend or be lopsided in the age of Trump?

For the Republicans, can establishment Republicans like Adam Putnam or Pam Bondi be able to win over the primary in the age of Trump or will children of the Trump revolution like Ron DeSantis be able to take the primary and the gubertarional candidates? Or will the back horse candidates win this election like Jack Latvala or Bob White?

For Democrats, the party has taken a left swing as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez start to become the face of the new Democratic party. Can the progressives take the Florida Democratic party as they have in other primaries with candidates like Andrew Gillum or Chris King? Or will the establishment candidates be able to win and hold onto their power in the Democratic party with candidates like Bill Nealson or Gwen Graham?

With a highly diversified and closely watched state, anything can happen. We will have to wait and see as the Florida governor's race unravels, will the candidates use dirty tactics to get the upper hand or will hard work pay off or will big money be able to buy the office?

Candidates:

Democrats:
Mayor Andrew Gillium-GoTfan
Former Represenative Gwen Graham-MyCroftcz
Senator Bill Nealson
Chris King
Former Represenative Patrick Murphy
Jeff Greene
Mayor Phillip Levine
Represenative Charlie Christ

Republicans:
Former Represenative David Jolly-IBizzBee
Represenative Ron DeSantis
Agriculural Commisner Adam Putnam-JakobisGood
Attroney General Pam Bondi
Chairmen Bob White of Republican Liberty Caucus
State Senator Jack Latvala
Represenative Francis Rooney
Senator Marco Rubio
Speaker of Florida House Richard Corcoran

RULES:
(of which I stole from NTP who stole fromHCP, who stole from Wxtransit, who may or may not have stolen from Lumine's game, thanks,NTP, Lumine, wxtransit, and HCP)

This game will cover the 2018 Florida Gubertarional Election from June 1st, 2018 to November 6th, 2018, divided into Two main phases:

Primary Phase: Assuming campaign announcements to have come earlier in the year, this primary season will take us from June 2018 to August 28th, 2018, with players from the Democratic and Republican Parties fighting to emerge as the nominee of their respective parties on a primary day.

General Election Phase: Taking us from August 29th to November 6th, 2018, with four turns of two weeks to account for the final stage of the campaign as players play the Governor and lt. Governor candidates, and potentially some key surrogates for their campaigns.

2.- The in-game length of turns will be two weeks, but all turns will last 4 daysin RL. Duly informing of a turn absence will yield no penalty (a polling freeze or very limited loss), but simply not posting will bring consequences.

3.- Personal message me for endorsements! Endorsement depend on your polling (Candidates Polling/5=# of points per turn)

5: Senator or Governors from other states
4: Senator or Governors from State
3: Representatives, President of the Senate
2: State Senators, Speaker of State House, Political Organizations (Students For Trump or Moveon.Org)
1: State Representatives, Mayors, Councilmembers

4.- There will be two debates in the primary phase and two in general election

5.- Like other games, I will use a number randomizer to determine positive and negative news for the candidates. 1-5 will be positive experiences (1 being great news) and 95-100 will be negative experiences (100 being terrible news). 6-94 will be no news. Real life news will also feature as part of the game for players to exploit (or influence).

6 - If your candidate is not included in the provided list below, make sure to personal message me so that I can approve/reject the candidate. Please make your candidates realistic (they must be real people who would plausibly seek the nomination in 2018, if you don't know if they could work, just ask).

Many of his policies are close to Gillum’s policy which is one of the reasons he was chosen for lt. Governor and I don’t think anyone can argue that Gillum is not a progressive
