I mean, in a D vs. D contest, why should they dignify any candidate with their vote, or even bother to turn out at all?

Of course not, having Gavin Newsom, a mediocre figure will not totally end their House races, in some districts, Newsom isn't beloved, like in Orange County

Yes. In fact, they shouldn't even show up to vote for the other contests. Harkey, Kim, Knight, Rohrabacher, etc. can win without them.

Newsom will easily win Orange County. He might even do better there than Hillary Clinton.

Washington Republicans should sit out in protest as well, since Washington uses the same system. Rossi's such a popular moderate that he can probably win without any Republican votes at all. Same goes for Herrera Beutler.

Nah, they should vote for Newsom instead, since he's going to win by twenty anyways.

We do not need any trolling suggesting Republicans don’t even need to turn out.  There are other candidates to vote for.  There is just no reason to vote for the witch or the socialist running in the Senate race.
I misread the guestion.  I was thinking of the Senate race when I voted yes.   So change my vote to no.

No, though this jungle primary is nuts.

My neighbors, who are Republicans, will vote for DeLeon to troll Feinstein.

So we need to make sure literally no one votes in CA-08 so we can have a special election.
