The Transition from Reagan to Gore and the Senate and the House

Since Jim Wright retired there was a close Speakership between Majority Leader Tom Foley and Chair of the House Democratic Caucus William Gray who was the first African American to chair the House Budget Committee. Even Though President Gore didn't endorse anyone he seemed to favor Gray more and Gray became Speaker. The Majority Leader Position which was vacated by Tom Foley was a race between Lindy Boggs and Dan Rostenkowski a Machine Politician and Boggs won.

Wow, seems very interesting so far! This could be some pretty cool alternate history. It'll be interesting to see how Gore handles things like the gulf war.
