Are whites in Orange County more Republican or Democratic than the country as a whole? Trump won OC whites, but lost the overall white vote in the state. Clinton did significantly better than previous Democrats in majority white communities, winning Seal Beach and reducing the GOP margins of victory in Laguna Niguel and Newport Beach.

Given that the nation voted for Hillary, any group that voted Trump is almost definitionally more Republican than the nation.

Whites voted Trump by 20 nationwide.

Based on reagente's calculations Orange County whites voted for Trump by less than that, which is truly remarkable.

Obviously, they're more Republican than the nation as a whole. I guess your question is whether they're more Republican than white people nationwide as a whole? I think probably not, but it's close either way, and they very likely were in 2012.

Mail in ballots show a very stark generational divide even among whites in Orange County. They’ll keep voting to the left of the nation (relative to whites nationally) in the foreseeable future.

Clinton got close to 40% of OC's white vote. Is it likely Clinton won white women in Orange County?

No, but Whites here in Dane County, Wisconsin sure are more Democratic than the nation.
