Ward will double down on going in an extremely right-wing direction and that strategy won't help reel Republicans that crossed over last year back in. She might even clash with candidates.

It doesn't matter to the voters at all but if candidates know Ward is hostile to McSally there isn't a fear of being ostracized and committing political suicide by challenging the incumbent.

This will impact strategy and fundraising. Ward is a scorched earth type campaigner, as was mcsally, a loosing strategy in our very urban state. Ward will likely want to double down on this type of campaigning up and down the ballot
