FL-GOV is a good platform from which to launch a Presidential campaign, but for this hypothetical to be plausible 2024/2028 are the earliest possibilities. He needs to get elected and have a successful governorship before Presidential speculation would be warranted.

He's got a fairly strong chance at being the VP nominee if he wins the gubernatorial election, but it'd be virtually impossible for him to put together a presidential campaign by 2020.
