True, it is probably because, we haven't got yet polls from WI/CO/NH/PA etc Roll Eyes

The effect isn't as strong as a new poll from that state, but the 538 model doesn't treat states as discrete units.  It recognizes that, if Trump is improving in Iowa, he's also probably improving in similar states like Ohio and Wisconsin.
Yes, I know (I actually posted an article about it today), but it still is cautious and waiting for more data to "confirm" it.

True notice how when Republicans do well no polls are ever taken.

Or, just maybe (sorry to interrupt the echo chamber here) Republicans only do well because no polls of those states are taken.

You've never heard of a Republican winning an election?  In elections Republicans win there's less polls taken.  Stop looking at polls and start looking at real votes.

I'm referring to the prediction market graph, which was posted a few posts prior. The fewer polls are taken, the better Republicans seem to do.

Yes that's what I was saying. In October of 2008 when Obama was called the "anointed one" and "messiah" by the dinosaur media, there were more polls taken than in the entire 2004 election!

Nearly two years later, I feel I must comment.

The thing most damaging for Clinton's campaign was the October 28 Comey memo. On Nov. 6 (a mere two days before the election, by which time most absentee voters had voted), Comey notified Congress that there was no change in the FBI's earlier conclusion of no charges.

However, her "basket of deplorables" comment was a close second. It was clearly taken out of context (Clinton never said all Trump supporters were deplorable), but the damage was done: within days, Trump supporters were declaring "Deplorable Me" complete with minions from the movie "Despicable Me".

I was talking with a friend about this, and he admitted that, while Hillary's "deplorables" comment was taken out of context, it was still a mistake, and that her husband (who arguably had far more political savvy than Hillary) never would have made that mistake: he never would have attacked the voting public, the people, instead focusing on the negatives of his opponent ("his policies are deplorable", perhaps).

Yup Manzanar is also in there and the locals at one point tried to kill all the interned peoples in Manzanar so the county has quite the troubled past

There are a lot of people on the left who need to read the posts of some of the people here and contemplate why Trump won.

I have re-read these posts, every one, and there are some people for who complaints about other people being "hate-filled" are a joke.  One person in this thread (possibly a mod at the time) spewed unbridled hatred toward me, and wished me harm.  These people aren't fit to call about anyone about being "hate-filled".

I'm not going to respond in kind, but I believe that each and every one of these people deserve Donald Trump as their President, as well as the millions like them on the left.  I've been called all sorts of names by people who just flat-out hate Evangelical Christians.  "Life and Death are in the power of the tongue".  Scripture says this.  Perhaps the millions of folks who joined Hillary in overt hatred of Christians, whether merited or not, brought the Judgement of God down on themselves in the form of having to endure President Donald John Trump.

Judging by her supporters, I cannot conclude that Hillary Clinton's Presiidency would have been good for America, regardless of what kind of President Trump turns out to be.

"Basket of Deplorables" did not change anyone's mind who hadn't already decided to hate Clinton. It was filtered one way or the other through every voter's existing confirmation bias. Had she not made the remark she still would have lost.

The 10/28 Comey memo most likely made would-be reluctant Clinton voters decided to stay at home or vote third party. In no state is this more evident than Wisconsin, which was Trump's tipping point. Far more damaging.

1. I'm sorry you have to put up with that.

2. I know plenty of Evangelicals who hate and oppose Donald Trump, and I respect them for it.

3. I spent over a decade in Evangelical churches. I was a worship leader, InterVarsity small group leader, very much a part of that culture. Looking back, I feel a great deal of bitterness over what it did to me as a human being. I feel no love towards the culture.  However, I don't transfer those feelings onto individuals. They're just seeking truth and trying to do the best they can, just as I was.

4. I have a hard time respecting Evangelicals who support Donald Trump (enthusiastically support him, not just ends-justify-means support him). He is the antithesis of every single value they preach, and it strikes me as rank hypocrisy.
